VA Beach Engagement
VA Beach Engagement

They say Virginia is for lovers! There are truly many unique locations for engagment photos in the state. Aside from the mountains one of my favorite locations is the beach. The charm of Virginia Beach created the best backdrop for A&W's spring engagement session. Would you believe me if I told you we had the beach to ourselves?

The beach alone offers a classic romantic feel with tall grasses, waves and the sandy shore. The natural beauty and serene settings allowed for many intimate moments between the couple and their pup. If you plan your engagement session early enough in the season you'll miss the crowds, parking will be plentiful and your photographer doesn't have to photoshop much out of the background. This particular session began an hour or so before sunset in May. It was also important to the couple that no high rises were in the photos, easy peasy!

Styling played a huge role in A&W's session. They blended into their environment wearing similar colors. This allowed them to shine. You are drawn to the soft glances over distracting colors and patterns. Light and flowy fabrics allowed the wind to carry them up and down the coast line. A&W were confident and comfortable and their photos not only reflect their love but their confidence.

I encouraged A&W to embrace the process, relax and go with the flow. I love how A&W embraced the wind and movement during their session. Virginia Beach sure did show off! If you are curious if the beach is the right backdrop for you let's talk and I'll be sure to convince you!
